about

This is the initial recording of Rough Cut. We might record it again one day. Maybe. They'll be a live version at some point. Recorded in 2009 I think.

lyrics

I must tell you now; I'm incapable
Of whatever it is that you have done
You are talking nonsense boy
Just do as I say
And I shall prove to you you may
Take out the book where you plot out your plans
Realise somehow they're holding you
Back from embracing the spot where you stand
You have me wrong Sir, this does not apply
No warning is meant for a man such as I
Am not obliged to abide by the pull of this tide
So why do you scurry from all that you start
Playing pursuits then excusing your part
On a list of past endeavours you have failed

These park pitches you left in doubt may not dry out
But it might just have gotten dark by the time you sit down

I disappointing us both I know that I'm incapable
Of whatever it is that you have done
But my boy you don't need the figure to see what you've drawn
You don't need the right footwear to waltz in this storm
You're amazing
It's not my fault Sir I'm too occupied
I've no choice but to leave this indulgence aside
I've got too many plots and plans and goings on
For what then, tell me, are you leaving this room
You're routine is tired and will never bloom
If you keep replanting every passing June

These park pitches you left in doubt may not dry out
But it might just have gotten dark by the time you sit down
You may be happy wading in the shores of these affairs
But they're far past dog-tired of late excuses

Out there are colours that you've never seen
Seek out the places where you've never been
Don't back off now. Son, it's still not too late
You might even die at one hundred and eight

about

Cat Green Bike UK

Cat Green Bike is the music of Xenia Randle. It started out with just her and her Ukulele and has now grown. Currently on the rota is Joseph Urwin; playing evil synth and low tuned guitar, and one Lee Abecasis; recent live member playing guitar, drums and singing too.

It is hard to describe their music. It's lovely. That's all I'll say.
